Three weeks to fervently call upon God’s mercy on Annie’s behalf, to fast, and to pray.
I’m asking those who feel so led to fast as the Lord leads you to, and to pray for Annie to be healed.
We believe that God performs miracles all the time, and we’re going to boldly ask for a miracle for Annie, that God will heal her in a supernatural way, in a way that only God can do!
So how do you fast, you ask?
There are lots of ways to fast, and these are just a few options…..
*You can give up one meal a week to spend that time praying for Annie.
*You can give up one meal per day for 21 days and spend that day praying.
*You can give up all food for one day a week.
*You can give up all food for as many days in a row as you feel led.
*You can give up certain foods, such as alcohol, bread, sweets, and meat for the next three weeks (the ‘Daniel fast’), and spend the next 21 days praying.
Just pray about what the Lord would have you sacrifice, and for how long, and do that.
I have read so many incredible fasting testimonies lately, and I believe that not only is it something Jesus himself did, its one of our three duties as a Christian (along with giving and praying), AND its the key to spiritual victory.
I plan to blog more and more about fasting in the days to come, since its a subject most of us probably don’t know much about, and I want to share with you all some of the stories I’ve heard and read.
My wonderful friend Melissa has so graciously offered to coordinate a fast for the next 21 days, up until the day of Annie’s MRI. We would like to make sure that each day between now and then, someone is fasting and praying for Annie.
Don’t tell me what you decide to do….this is between you and God…..but please email Melissa so that she can make sure every day is covered!! Her email address is … firstname.lastname@example.org
Many of you have asked what you can do to help……this is what I need you to do. Thank you all, and I pray that the Lord pours out blessings upon all who do this for us. 🙂
