We spent Memorial Day weekend camping at Lake Fork, and it was by *FAR* the best weekend we’ve had in a long, long time.
Years in fact.
And it was a MUCH needed getaway for our family!
Sometimes its not so much about where you go, but just the fact that you are anywhere but home.
We played in the sun for hours.
Laughed a lot….about the silliest things.
Enjoyed the…..seaweed.
Or is it lake-weed?
Doesn’t matter…..when you’re at the lake, fun can be found in the simplest of things, and even a boat ramp becomes a magical place.
Did I mention that we enjoyed the sun?
And the water?
We grew a few new freckles.
Freckles are gorgeous, aren’t they?
We relaxed and enjoyed the peace.
We danced and shook our booty. Well, one of us did.

Forget Maui, I think Lake Fork might be my new favorite place on earth.
And I seriously can’t wait to go back. 
How fun! We love camping and can't wait until we get a chance to go this summer. With the stress that your family has recently gone through, I'm so glad you were able to get away and make fun memories with your family.
