Well, that picture pretty much sums it up.
The end.
Not really.
Its been a whirlwind since I last posted! And as usual, when I don’t know what to post on this dumb blog, I post the pictures in my cell phone.
We ended summer with the East Texas Balloon Glow with our friends Megan and Jonah. We LOVE the Balloon Glow!!
My only complaint is that it is so dadgum HOT. Why can’t they do the Balloon Glow in October when its NOT 172* outside?? Who can I speak to about this…
And these were the kiddos on the ride home. The thirty mile drive that took us an hour and a half. I don’t know how it happens… perhaps its the blonde hair or the A.D.D., but when I get behind the wheel with a friend in the car and we’re talking and laughing, I totally forget where I am. And who I am. But we made it home, eventually, and that’s the important thing.
And this was one Sunday at church. Because I thought she was cute. 🙂 I drive my kids crazy on Sunday because picture-taking is mandatory. Its the one day I can be SURE my kids don’t look like dirty little rugrats.
One week this summer, my amazing friend Marla kept my kiddos for the week while I worked. A week I like to call Camp Germany because Marla is THE coolest, funnest, hippest mom EVER, and every single day at her house was a total blast. They swam in the pool…
Made homemade pizza…
And when Marla sent me this picture, somehow I was able to figure out which one was Annie’s and which one was Katie’s. Can you guess? 🙂
And this is how you know its been a good day at Marla’s house: When you totally conk out, with greasy (sunscreen) hair, in a Dorothy costume before we’re even out of the driveway.
My kids slept really well that week. Annie, aka Sharpay Evans, fell asleep in her silk pajamas at 5:30pm.
And speaking of Sharpay Evans… here she is! YEAH, I let her go out in public like that. Pick your battles, I always say…
I got to spend a little time with this guy! It was fun having a little guy around, and getting out the Little People who were gathering dust in the toy closet.
Annie got to have her second sleepover with a friend. They coincidentally had matching pajamas, and Annie was feelin’ a little sassy about it, judging by her pose…
The little sisters haven’t yet caught on yet (like their big sisters have) that sleepovers aren’t for sleeping, silly girls!! Shhh… don’t tell them…
And that concludes my obligatory blog post…
