Most of my closest friends know of my not-so-secret itch to homeschool my children, and that my other personality keeps saying “ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! NEVER!!! EVER!!!” (My kids will someday either thank me for saving them from being homeschooled, *OR* blame me for their public-school induced problems…) Either way, I still dream someday of homeschooling my kids, to be perfectly honest.
But until that magical day when I decide to turn my kids into denim-jumper-wearing, herb-growing, violin-playing, Bible-quoting, spelling-bee-winning homeschooled kids, Baby A is doing quite well in her little preschool! And I’m happy about it. Really, I am!
Here is her first school picture:
She is smiling so happily because she *LOVES* school. *LOVES* Miss-a-weesa. *LOVES* Miss-a-lita. *LOVES* Konnor, Ava, Hugh, Anne, Kaitlyn, Hayden, Molly, and Brycen. Gets up every day asking me if she can go to school and see Miss-a-weesa. She’s a people person, I tell ya. People are her thing, for sure.
And her first report card:
Glad to see she’s adapting! Participating! Socializing! Obeying! Being a ‘joy.’ Because what more do we want for our kids, as moms, than for them to be a ‘joy?’ As much as we love them, it sure is good for other people to find joy in them, too.
School. Sometimes its a good thing. But only until my cotton crop is fully grown and I can weave some denim for our homemade jumpers. I’ll keep ya posted.
What an absolutely adorable picture…I know you’re proud!
okay, I better get a school picture of both of them, BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Cuz, Baby A is the one who looks just like you. And you WERE that adorable at that age. Even when you threw temper tantrums and had spaghetti in your hair.

Look at me… getting all misty-eyed at the memories!
