This morning after Baby A’s bath, I decided it was time for a haircut. At age 2 she still hardly has any hair, but what she does have has sort of grown out into a mullet and I cannot have Baby A looking like Joe Dirt! When I look at these pictures I can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner, but I suppose I’ve been too busy making hairbows to notice how unkempt the children are looking. Here are the last pictures of what’s left of what used to be curls…
Again today I was struck by the differences between the first- and second-born children: First child, first haircut = new outfit for the occasion, pricey salon trip, camera + 100 pictures subsequently scrapbooked on special ‘haircut’ paper, dad taking off work to come watch, tears, drama. Second child, first haircut = mom grabs a pair of dull scissors and hacks away while kid plays dollhouse. Good thing I remembered to take pictures.
And now for the ‘after’ pictures….a chic bob, courtesy of Moi and a pair of dull scissors. I think I did pretty good for my first haircutting job, what do you think?
A happy customer. Her hair was still a little damp, so I slicked it to the side and tucked the ends behind her ears. You know, for chic-ness. Sort of a Katie Holmes-Cruise Hollywood starlet look. 😉 Suri and Shiloh, eat your heart out.
(And yet again she’s chewing on something of Sissy’s. See previous post…)
Wait……something’s missing. Oh yeah….a BOW! How could I have forgotten that? Off to make a hairbow to match that outfit……because no outfit is complete without accessories.
oh my goodness how cute! thanks for stopping by my blog! hope you’ll visit again soon!
How CUTE! Haircuts are so…refreshing. Good job with dull scissors.
she *FOR SURE* looks like Shiloh Jolie Pitt now!!!!
