I try, I try…..I really do……. to get a good picture of this kid. She thinks its funny to squirm around so that all my camera captures is the blur. And/or roll her eyes backwards into her head so that only the whites will show in a picture. How does she know to DO THAT?? It would be funny if it weren’t so darn exasperating. She’s a clown, I tell…

Kids Say the Darndest Things
One day last week Baby A went to Mothers Day Out. BF asks: “Who did you play with today?” Baby A answers, “A lee-lul girl.” BF: “What was the little girl’s name?” Baby A: “Miley Cyrus.” ~~~~~~~~~~ Last night at dinner Mimi noticed Baby A eating with her left hand. Mimi: “Pawpaw, did you know Baby A is left handed?”Pawpaw: “Yes.”KB: “What am I?”Mimi: “You’re right-handed.”Mimi, to Cousin J (age…

Let me introduce you to my second-born child. She’s Two. In case you can’t tell that from this video. Go ahead. Click on the play button. And I’m baffled. (Oh yeah…..just to fill…

The Booger Story. Part III.
As you may remember from THIS post, Baby A’s new thing is to ask, “Wanna booger?” and if you say “YES,” she’ll say, “Otay, I get you one.” But now, if you say “NO,” she says, “Want beans and rice?” The Daily Specials at Restaurante de Baby A…..
Sad Words.
This morning Baby A said to me, “I wanna open da door momma!” and it made me a little bit sad! Up until today, when she wanted the door open, she’d say, “Wanna shut da door!” or to have me open anything else, she’d hand it to me and say, “Ippit, mommy!” (for ‘open it’) or “Ippiss, mommy!” (for ‘open this’). So after today, she’ll never say it the wrong…

The Booger Story. Part II.
Baby A had several stuffed animals lined up, and she was going down the line, asking each of them, “Puppy Gog wanna booger? Otay. G’raffe wanna booger? Otay. Kee-cat wanna booger? Otay.” Aren’t you glad you checked my blog today? 😉 I’m sure there will be MANY more booger stories to come so keep checking for updates!!!!! ha ha….
My Comedian.
Yesterday, Baby A, my 2 y/o, stuck her finger in her nose and said, “Wanna booger? I get you one!”
Kids Say the Darndest Things
As Baby A was eating her piece of cake, she said, “Toes want some!!” then put her foot on the table and stuck a tiny piece of cake between her toes, and told them, “There you go!”~~~~~Yesterday on the way home from church, little nephew J had a tummy ache, and told his mommy, “I have a BIG sore throat in my tummy!”~~~~~Daddy was singing to us , and KB…

Brutal Honesty.
KB was rummaging through my pictures earlier and found this lovely Olan Mills portrait dated 1990. I explained to her that this was from when I was in high school (I was 17). She said, “Mommy, I liked you so much better in high school. You were SO much prettier then.”That’s it. I’m calling Dr. 90210.
The Naughty Crew.
Isn’t it so funny how two little girls from the same two parents, with the same genes, and the same upbringing and history, can be so very different? Today Baby A went to MDO at First Christian Church, which is a drop-in program, because this overworked, underpaid mom was needin’ a BREAK. So, I go to pick her up at 2:30, and the teacher tells me, “Ummm…*Baby A* was in…

Barbie Suffers Tragic Accident Yesterday.
The nude body of our beloved friend Barbie was recovered today, along with a small fishing boat, after an apparent drowning. Barbie’s connection to the capsized boat was unclear. Foul play was suspected. A suspect was quickly apprehended and questioned regarding both incidents. The suspect only had these few words to say about the matter: “No no, *Baby A*, that not nice.” Then later, “Barbie bath. *Baby A* mess.” The…

Baby A’s Dot-Dots
This is probably one of those things that only a mom could appreciate, but this just cracks me up! Every Saturday morning, BF gets both girls a bag of donut holes (or “dot-dots,” as Baby A calls them) for a special treat for breakfast. She carefully removes one dot-dot at a time from her little white bag, and takes ONE bite out of each one. Not just a normal bite…
