We’ve always loved Dorothy at our house.
Personally I think its all about the Ruby Slippers. We do love us some fabulous shoes.
But then when we saw this wig at Arne’s party store in Houston…
…well, that just sealed it. Sparkly shoes AND a wig? Oh yeah, baby.
We went to the elementary school Sock Hop last night in our costumes. Well, two of us wore costumes…
Dorothy was feelin’ SO fly, and a little bit gangsta, once she got her wig and ruby slippers (almost) just right.
And nothing says ‘Alice in Wonderland’ like some groovy hippie glasses. Make it your own, I say.
It wasn’t too many Halloweens ago that Katie Beth wore the Dorothy costume first, sweet little toothless girl.
I love excuses to dress up! Hopefully we’ll find more occasions to wear costumes before the weekend is up.
I appreciate the fine sense of style your girls have, and little splash of attitude to go with it!! Yet again, I go through the post hoping for a picture of the AUTHOR (not that her significant other is hard to look at) and nary a picture!!! Seriously, dress up as Jovie, get your man in his tights and SHARE IT WITH THE WAITING WORLD!!!
Jeane, I'm fixing that today! She's getting some pictures made by a seriously professional photographer. Even if it is of her holding her hand over her face screaming, "NO PICTURES!" 🙂
And be sure to brighten yo'mama's day (or night) when you do that by dropping by and giving her a look.
Jeane, I would have LOVED to be Jovie for Halloween, but alas…. Buddy refused to cooperate.

Michael… sorry 'bout your luck, babe. But I WILL consider trading pictures for one night out with you in a Buddy the Elf costume…

Mom… don't get your hopes up. As it turns out, I have zero influence whatsoever on Buddy and his choice of Halloween costume. 🙁 Maybe if
Either way,Jovie or no, the pretty mama who writes this blog needs to come out of hiding…and if I had the chance to have pictures taken professionally, I'd do it! What fun!
