Peach Pickin’ Time.

KB is spending the day at her grandparents’ house in Sulphur Springs. They have an amazing garden in the backyard, and whenever we see them, they stock us up with fresh produce. Hubby sent me this pic from his cell phone:

KB’s cousins Graham, Abby Grace, Samuel, and Silas are there for the weekend also helping with the peach-picking.

If you’ll excuse me, I’m off to find some good peach recipes. I’m going to have 285 peaches that will need my attention.

I’m thinking Peach Cobbler.

Or maybe homemade peach ice cream?

Or cobbler AND ice cream?

Mmmmmmmmm…………..

    Sometimes we freeze peaches whole with the peel on (don't wash them before freezing, though) My husband (NEVER the children) cuts the frozen peaches (BE SO CAREFUL DOING THIS!!!) in quarters after letting them sit out for several minutes. The peels come off fairly easily. My children say it tastes like dessert to eat a frozen peach – they LOVE it!

    Holy crap. That&#39;s a lot of peaches. I think now&#39;s the time to learn how to can. Is that even how you would use that in a sentence? <br /><br />We like peach dump cake. I don&#39;t have the recipe. I&#39;m sure you&#39;ve made one before. It&#39;s where you dump the dry yellow cake mix and then butter and fruit of choice (canned) or something like that. <br /><br />Yeah, that was
