My friend Melissa emailed me today to let me know that seven people are fasting and praying for Annie today.
And I’m amazed and overwhelmed.
Its so humbling to know that so many are taking the time and effort and sacrifice to lift my Annie up before the Throne of Grace, and I am so grateful. Though grateful is hardly a big enough word to describe what I feel.
I can’t wait to see what Victory comes from all of this, and how God will answer the prayers of so many.
It reminds me of a song we used to sing in church when I was young…
I’m so glad I’m a part of the Family of God,
I’ve been washed in the fountain, cleansed by His blood!
Joint heirs with Jesus as we travel this sod,
For I’m part of the family,
The Family of God.You will notice we say “brother and sister” ’round here,
It’s because we’re a family and these are so near;
When one has a heartache, we all share the tears,
And rejoice in each victory in this family so dear.I’m so glad I’m a part of the Family of God,
I’ve been washed in the fountain, cleansed by His blood!
Joint heirs with Jesus as we travel this sod,
For I’m part of the family,
The Family of God.From the door of an orphanage to the house of the King,
No longer an outcast, a new song I sing;
From rags unto riches, from the weak to the strong,
I’m not worthy to be here, but praise God I belong!I’m so glad I’m a part of the Family of God,
I’ve been washed in the fountain, cleansed by His Blood!
Joint heirs with Jesus as we travel this sod,
For I’m part of the family,
The Family of God
How blessed we are!! What a tremendous gift it is to be part of the Kindgom. And its been so eye-opening to realize my Family isn’t limited to 75701 or Smith County or even Texas. There are people all across the USA praying for my Annie. I have Family that I will never meet….who are praying for my child, whom they have never met….
It makes me wonder…..how do people survive apart from the Family of God? How do people make it, who go through a crisis, and don’t have anyone to pray? How do people function without the support of a church Family, or the secure knowledge that the God of the Universe is their Heavenly Father who hears the prayers of His children?
Thank you, my friends who are praying.
I’m truly grateful and humbled.

You don’t know me, but I’m praying too. (Friend of Marlene’s)

Much love.
Melissa,

I saw your post on Randy Alcorn’s blog, and my heart goes out to you and your family! How wonderful that you have faith for your daughter’s complete healing. I was encouraged by the systematic way you’re making sure that she is covered in prayer every day.

Blessings and prayers,
Anette Acker
