I know I’m a little behind, and I know that must come as a huge shock to you.
But I wanted to post a few pics of Annie’s last day of school. Which was in May. I figure as long as I get these out there before July, I’m good. Or at least better than I’m doing on my 10-year Anniversary post….which was in May ’08. Still working on that one…
This year, Annie got to go to a little preschool for a couple of hours, 3 days a week. The last day of school is always Splash Day, where they wear their swimsuits to school and play all kinds of sand and water games while the Beach Boys blare through the speakers. Its TONS of fun. My favorite station is the car wash:
Their favorite station, of course, is the sticky, sugary treats…
After a couple of hours of fun in the sun, they had a pizza party in the classroom.
We said goodbye to sweet Mrs. Teresa. Annie *LOVED* Mrs. Teresa!! Thank you for a great year Mrs. Teresa…
And Mrs. Lolita….she and Annie had a special relationship. Every morning Annie would run straight to Mrs. Lolita for a big bear-hug. And in the drive-thru in the mornings, if Mrs. Lolita wasn’t the one to get Annie out of the car, Annie was upset. We miss you Mrs. Lolita!
And finally, Mrs. Jojo. Annie loved her too!
The last day all these cute little backpacks will be lined up together. 🙁
Annie’s first year at school was a great one! We made lots of friends and fun memories. We feel very fortunate that we got to be a part of such a neat little school that does so many neat, fun things. Not to mention that many of the teachers and director and secretary stopped me in the hallway OFTEN to ask about Annie and to let me know they were praying for her. A couple of them have even called and sent cards this summer letting me know they are still praying! I’m so thankful Annie has made these friends and gets to be a part of their little school.
See you all next year!
