Yesterday Baby A and I did a little grocery shopping at Brookshire’s. If you haven’t seen them yet, Brookshire’s has these *LOVELY* little miniature grocery buggies for the kids, which are quite a thorn in my side.
Because now, I can’t take a child with me to the store without them having to push their own buggy, and the backs of my ankles are black and blue from a 6-year-old with a slight A.D.D. situation pushing the buggy along with her head in the clouds.
And of course, what Big Sis does, Baby Sis has to do. You can forget a quick trip inside for a gallon of milk; by the time a child meanders to the milk aisle with this little buggy, you’ve added twenty minutes to your shopping time.
So yesterday, we ran in for three things, and of course Baby A had to push the buggy. In her rubber boots, that match her little smocked dress beautifully. Pick your battles, right? You can see the exact moment she decides to head to the bakery for a free cookie.
And this was just so darn cute, I didn’t even care that it took me 45 minutes to get sour cream, cilantro, and tortillas. 😉 Because the only thing I like better than someone paying attention to me, is someone paying attention to my kids, and I can’t even count the number of “awwww, how CUTE”‘s I heard during our grocery expedition.
Brookshire’s, I forgive you for inflicting these buggies on me.
I LOVE IT! I was actually laughing out loud reading about those &%^$# buggies. One day I had TWO of them under my supervision. YIKES!
WHAT?? They have those buggies at WalMart TOO? Because I *KNoW* Shanequa did *NOT* shop at BROOKSHIRES. WHAT tha WORLD….
Thats hilarious. She just marched right on over to you and got tired of standing there, so she marched right on over to the cookies. That is so funny
