A few things I’m thankful for:
2. Kids that sleep in. WHEN they do. Which didn’t happen to be today, by the way. Why is that?? I had one get up at 5:15, and another one at 5:45. I don’t get it. We did Babywise, faithfully!! Did it wear off?? I was QUIET!! Do I need to just slip them hefty doses of Benadryl?? (just kidding….) They both got up today in time to eat a Zone bar with me for breakfast. Which made me think of #1, how grateful I am that BF cooks them a real breakfast so they don’t have to eat diet food every morning. So I guess instead of being grateful for the mornings that the kids sleep late, which mysteriously are rarer and rarer nowadays, I’ll have to be thankful for…
3. A two year old who wakes up in time to go with me on my early-morning jog/walk. We did get some looks yesterday by other passing early-morning walkers, probably making a mental note to call CPS as soon as they got home and report the momma who had her pajama-clad kid out walking while it was still dark. Oh well, it was fun to have the company, especially company who sang “Iffa happy anna know it cappa hands…” for three miles. That’s motivating.
4. That I get to be a stay-at-home mom. That is truly what I am MOST grateful for. I know a lot of moms would love to and can’t make it work, and I KNOW how blessed I am to get to spend these first few years at home with my little ones because the years go by so fast. It is a sacrifice, and its very difficult in so many ways, but I wouldn’t trade it. And I am especially grateful for that on the one day a month I have to go work in the barn. Which happens to be today. So friends, I’m beggin’ ya, come shopping for wholesale kids’ clothes today and keep me company!! Please!!
5. I’m SOOOOOO thankful for Girls’ Nights Out!! It was great to get out of the house last night just sit and enjoy a meal with friends!! And then spend two hours digging through Marshall’s. 🙂 We never seem to get past Marshall’s, do we? I’m thankful for friends who share my love for bargain-hunting. Maybe someday we’ll make it to Ross. Or better yet, that shopping trip to Dallas we keep talking about? 😉
I had a great time, too! And LOVE the clothes I got! There’s another day for Ross…just maybe not together.
Oh, we’ll have to make it to Ross someday, but I think we’ll have to get started on our next GNO way before the Head Man In Charge gets home at 6:15….
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Yes, those scones surely ARE only 2 or 3 WW points (at least in my world!)

I used to have early risers also, now they all sleep until around 7 or 7:30, unfortunately I am so used to getting up early that I automatically wake up around 6. So not fair.
you are very blessed to be at home. i’m praying about a career change. might be getting the same job you have. when your reading a story to your 2 year old and the poky little puppy doesn’t have a mom w/ him and your baby boy says, ‘does his mom work’. puts a little perspective on things.
