We’ve spent the past four years slowly going broke and shaving years off of our lives remodeling this 80-year-old house.
And somehow, our marriage has survived.
Barely.
And we haven’t declared bankruptcy.
Yet.
The house is 98% completed; we still lack a few doorknobs and touch up paint here and there.
And hubs doesn’t know it yet, but the dining room is going to get repainted.
I hate the chocolate brown, surprisingly enough. Something so gorgeous in other peoples’ homes is downright bat-cave-like in my own, and turns what should be a life-filled room into a dark, creepy, and ominous place. But don’t tell hubby. He thinks he’s through painting.
Anyway. Other than the finishing touches that need to be done in the house, the garage remains our final remodeling frontier.
If anybody wants these curtains, let me know, because I’m starting the garage clean-out soon…..
Anyone?
Anyone?
Last call on the free curtains…
*crickets*
Fine. But don’t say I never tried to give you anything…..
Garage curtains? Garage curtains? For real? I'm in a confused state of awe. Curtains IN the garage? : )
LOL Sorry Lianne. 🙂 I should have clarified: our (detached) garage was converted into an efficiency apartment by the previous owners; then used for storage for the past 40 years. Its in BAAAAAD shape and we're going to turn it back into a garage. I forget people read my blog who have never been to my house!
You are not going to beleive this. I just visited a gal friend in her newly redone new house. She and her hubs have been fixing it upt about 2 years and even though the house was only 5 years old they still changed just about everything there was to change. Now, get this, they tiled the garage floor. Yes indeed. And it's light colored tile too. I was stunned. Wish I had a picture of it
